Do you play basketball?
I get asked a lot if I play basketball, many people assume if I am tall maybe I play sports.
Surprisingly I don't play sports any more than any average woman. When I was young I played volleyball a lot because it was popular in my school and I liked spending time with my friends there.
When I became a little older (entered high school) I wasn't interested in sports maybe mostly because I went to a different school and had a different group of friends...and back then nobody really asked me if I like to play sports, so I didn't even think to peruse it.
I remember I was talking to a very tall woman who played basketball professionally and I was surprised what she told me. Basically she said it's good to play basketball or any sport to improve your health and exercise but to do it professionally is very hard and can be health problems because of it. So, maybe it is good I didn't play sports professionally in my life...
Watching Sports on TV
Usually gets my attention basketball with tall women or men. If someone plays basketball and they aren't tall then it's not interesting to watch and I switch channels but if I see tall men or women playing basketball I really like to watch it. Something beautiful is in watching people are running and jumping playing a basketball.
I don't really care about the scores and very often I can't even keep up who is loosing or winning, but the process of
watching tall people fighting over the ball is amazing!
Do tall women run faster?
I can tell you if a woman is tall and has great long legs it doesn't mean she can run faster than a short woman.
When I was in high school was competing with my short friend who was about 5'4" who run faster. I thought since I'm tall I could run faster her, but I was wrong! Surprisingly, she ran much faster than I was. When I was younger I could run faster than anyone and when I got older (over 14 y.o.) and taller my running abilities weren't as good anymore.
Right now I am an adult and I like running even less. When I was young I liked to run, climb, play and etc, but now I'm a completely different person, I'm a lot more calm and not as physically active anymore.
